A DONATION OF $1,000 TO THE FONDS WILLIAM BROCK EN ENSEIGNEMENT ET RECHERCHE SUR LES CANCERS DU SANG À L'HÔPITAL MAISONNEUVE-ROSEMONT (THE WILLIAM BROCK FUND FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ON BLOOD CANCERS AT MAISONNEUVE-ROSEMONT HOSPITAL)
In May 2010, the Vita Children's Foundation donated $1,000 to the Fonds William Brock en enseignement et recherche sur les cancers du sang à l’hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (The William Brock Fund for Research and Education on Blood Cancers at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital).
This Fund was created in November 2006, thanks to a substantial contribution from William Brock, a lawyer, husband and father who survived thanks to a bone marrow transplant, and the care he received at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital after being diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia. He is devoted to raising funds for research into blood and bone marrow cancers.
On April 19, 2010, William Brock embarked on a unique and challenging journey. To celebrate his recovery and the gratifying support he received from all those around him during his illness and recovery, he cycled across Europe for two months, with the goal of raising money for research into leukemia and bone marrow transplants.
